Thrift4ward, a new empowerment initiative in Pretoria East, redefines thrifting. Instead of a traditional store, we collect donations of clothing, shoes, furniture, and household goods, then distribute them as inventory for women to launch small online or home-based thrift businesses. The process is straightforward:
- You donate. Clear out your unused items.
- She builds. A woman receives your donations as stock.
- She thrives. By repurposing or reselling, she earns income, restores dignity, and joins a supportive community.
Beyond Financial Support
Thrift4ward’s mission is as emotional as it is economic. Many women in our program face hardship, trauma, or loss. Earning an income through their thrift businesses restores purpose and confidence.
